There is no easy way to describe the intense love and emotions I feel when I have a new baby. It is almost as if I go insane for a little while. I waver between crying with happiness and having the distinct desire to want to eat my child right up! When his bottom lip curls down I just want to hold him and reassure him and never let him go. When he smiles and cooes I can't keep my eyes off of him for a second and nothing else in the world matters. I feel so in love with my baby boy! He is such a joy to be able to hold, comfort, laugh with, talk like an alien to, squeeze, rock goodnight, and stare at. And the best part is he is all mine (and Tim and Caleb's of course :))! This is a great life!

ReplyDeleteI can absolutely relate to this post! Sometimes I cover Sam with countless kisses because he is so adorable that I just want to eat him up. I never understood why people call babies "yummy" until I became the proud mommy of the most adorable baby boy I have ever seen. Isn't this an amazing gift from our wonderful God!!
