A Stinky Day!

Yesterday was not the best of days. Usually when Caleb wakes up in the morning he stands at the top of the stairs and shouts my name until I come up to get him, but yesterday he did not call my name. That is never a good sign, so I went up to see him and sure enough he was wide awake sitting in a pile of poop. His night time diaper had leaked and he found it very interesting to play with. It was disgusting. While I was cleaning him up the baby wakes up and starts crying. Guess what? He is laying in a puddle of pee. So both boys get baths and I start the laundry.
While the laundry is going the washing machine starts leaking. It has leaked before but this time it is lots of water all over the floor. So, I stop the machine and prepare to hand wash. After I get the boys cleaned I get the dishes loaded and start the dishwasher. It won't start, no electricity running to it whatsoever.
So the next three hours I spend talking to customer service reps, being on hold, and trying to find out if we have warranties. Turns out we have a warranty on the washer and it will probably be fixed by the end of the week but the dishwasher does not have a warranty. All that time on the phone for nothing. When Tim came home the house was a wreck, the dishes all over, the laundry not done, the kids screaming, he just looked around and smiled and then spent an hour helping me clean. I love my husband!

Looks like we will be hand washing dishes for a while and I will be going to check on Caleb much earlier than usual each morning! Maybe Moms should register for pooper scoopers when they have babies.
