When I put together Caleb's room this fall I made picture and word labels for all his drawers. I was hoping that he could help me put things away and pick out his own clothes as he grows. I also wanted to use the labels as teaching tools. So far, they have not been of much use. Today I asked Caleb to go get a pair of pants and a shirt to wear. He comes down the stairs with a pair of van shoes and a red sweater vest! He fully expected me to put them on him and walk out the door in them. So much for useful labels!
We do let him pick out his clothes sometimes and this is usually what he looks like. He wears his cowboy boots that Great Grandaddy gave the grandkids and some kind of animal or fire shirt! No pants necessary. Our crazy kid!
